Role Purpose:
As a Cashier, your primary responsibility is to deliver excellent customer service while processing transactions accurately and efficiently. Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform full cashier duties including handling cash, card, and electronic transactions efficiently.
  • Open and lock up the outlet, issue floats, and ensure proper cashing up procedures at the end of the day.
  • Perform banking and cash reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene within the outlet at all times.
  • Assist customers by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing guidance on products or services.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in working hours, including weekends and overtime, according to operational needs.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Computer Literacy: Basic knowledge of computers and POS systems is an advantage.
  • Punctuality & Reliability: Dependable attendance and the ability to adhere to schedules are essential.
  • Accuracy & Procedure-Oriented: Follow processes correctly to ensure correct cash handling and transaction management.
  • Service Orientation: Provide excellent customer service, with patience and a helpful attitude.

Qualifications:

  • A Matric (Grade 12) certificate is required.
