Job Opportunity: Administration Clerk (Various Centres)

The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development (DOJ&CD) is inviting applications from dedicated and motivated individuals to fill the position of Administration Clerk at different offices across the country. Salary and Benefits

  • Salary Range: R228 321 – R268 950 per annum (Level 5).
  • The successful candidate will also be required to sign a performance agreement as part of the appointment conditions.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 Certificate (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
  • No prior experience is strictly required, but administrative or clerical exposure will be an added advantage.

Skills and Competencies Required

The Department is seeking candidates with:

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Computer literacy, particularly in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Commitment to providing quality customer service.
  • Competence in document management, record-keeping, and filing systems.
  • Good numerical skills for financial administration tasks.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

As an Administration Clerk, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing a wide range of support services to ensure the smooth functioning of the office. Duties include:

  1. General Clerical Support
    • Handle filing, photocopying, faxing, scanning, and retrieval of documents.
    • Maintain correspondence registers and ensure proper tracking of official documents.
  2. Supply Chain Support
    • Assist with procurement administration processes.
    • Maintain asset registers and office stock levels.
  3. Personnel Administration Support
    • Assist with leave administration and personnel records.
    • Support HR functions within the component.
  4. Financial Administration Support
    • Process payments, invoices, and claims.
    • Assist with financial record-keeping and reconciliation.
