Key Responsibilities
As a Data Controller, your daily work will revolve around capturing, verifying, and managing operational data to support Johannesburg Water’s service delivery. Your responsibilities will include:
- SAP Data Management:
- Capture and process the first phase of core data into the SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) system.
- Route and assign work orders to the responsible foreman or operations manager.
- Rectify data errors in SAP PM to help depots complete transactions smoothly and improve data quality.
- Customer Support & Work Orders:
- Assist customers (walk-in or call-in) by creating work orders to address their service requests.
- Provide backup support by assisting artisans when foremen are unavailable.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Keep depot staff (operations managers and foremen) updated on all data-related matters.
- Highlight and resolve captured errors by working with depot teams.
- Interact with other departments regarding water and sewer-related data.
- General Administration & Support:
- File correspondence daily to maintain proper documentation.
- Relieve the switchboard or receptionist when required.
- Provide assistance to the IMIS Administrator as needed.
This is a dynamic role that requires accuracy, communication, and the ability to work across different functions.
Minimum Job Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following qualifications and experience:
- Education:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or N3 qualification (NQF Level 4).
- Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in data capturing.
- Practical experience working with SAP systems is essential.
