Role Overview

As a Financial Associate, you will focus on two core areas:

  1. Marketing of Funeral Insurance, Savings Plans, and Related Products

  2. Recruitment of Funerals for the Funeral Division
    In addition to product marketing, you will also play an active role in assisting the funeral division by recruiting funerals, ensuring that the division continues to serve families with compassion and professionalism.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Matric (Grade 12) is essential.
  • Tertiary education with 30 credits on NQF Level 4 is highly advantageous.
  • Compliance with FAIS legislation is required for registration as a “Fit and Proper” individual. Depending on when you entered the financial industry, different qualification pathways may apply:
    • 2004 – 2007 entrants: 30 credits on NQF 4 obtained by 31 December 2009.
    • 2008 – 2009 entrants: 30 or 60 credits on NQF 4 obtained by 31 December 2011, or a full FAIS-recognised qualification obtained by 31 December 2013.
    • 2010 onwards entrants: A full FAIS-recognised qualification is mandatory.

Additional Compliance:

  • A clear ITC credit record is required.
  • A clear criminal record is required.
  • RE5 certification will be considered an advantage.

Experience

  • Prior marketing experience is essential.
  • Previous experience in the insurance or financial services sector will give applicants a competitive edge.
