📦 Key Responsibilities
As a Courier, your daily duties will include:
- Planning and Route Management: Checking moxes, parcels, and delivery tasks each day to organize a clear and efficient collection and delivery route.
- Collection and Delivery: Safely collecting and delivering specimens, reports, and other materials from laboratories, doctors, and clients to ensure timely arrival at the correct destinations.
- Record Keeping: Completing and signing proof of delivery forms to maintain accurate tracking and accountability for all goods handled.
- Scanning and Tracking: Using the Courier Management Programme to scan specimens and results for real-time tracking, ensuring each delivery can be traced from start to finish.
- Vehicle and Equipment Care: Maintaining company vehicles, uniforms, and other assets in good working condition. Reporting any faults or maintenance needs promptly to ensure operational efficiency.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Using appropriate protective wear such as gloves, specimen bags, and eye protection to safeguard yourself and adhere to company health and safety policies.
- Incident Reporting: Completing and submitting incident or accident reports to management to facilitate insurance claims and ensure proper resolution.
- Vehicle Cleanliness and Quality Standards: Keeping vehicles clean and ensuring that any hazardous spills are immediately reported and handled according to Quality Assurance Standards.
Through these responsibilities, the Courier contributes significantly to the reliability and reputation of the organization’s services, ensuring that clients and healthcare professionals can depend on accurate, efficient, and courteous delivery.

🎓 Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Education: Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification (preferred).
Alternatively, a Grade 10 certificate with 2–3 years of relevant working experience or at least 10 years of courier experience will be accepted. - Driver’s Licence: A valid and appropriate driver’s licence is essential.
- Experience: Proven experience in a courier or delivery-related role, preferably within a medical or logistics environment, will be advantageous.
