🧩 Purpose of the Position
The City of Tshwane’s Group Human Capital Management Department is looking for three experienced and motivated Administrative Officers to join their team. The successful candidates will be based at Tshwane House but will operate across the City’s regions. The role aims to deliver effective and efficient human capital administrative and operational support to various client departments within the municipality.
As part of the City’s core administrative engine, these officers will ensure that human capital functions are carried out smoothly, from recruitment and selection to benefits administration and performance management.

🧾 Minimum Application Requirements
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Grade 12 (Matric)
- Experience: At least six (6) months of relevant working experience in administrative support services
- Skills: Must be computer literate
- Advantage: Prior experience working with the SAP system will be a strong recommendation
- Screening Requirement: Applicants must be willing to undergo a criminal record check and allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at their own cost

⚙️ Primary Functions and Key Responsibilities
The Administrative Officer will provide comprehensive human capital and administrative support to the City’s departments. Core responsibilities will include:
- Remuneration and Benefits Administration
- Assist in processing salary-related matters, employee benefits, and leave administration.
- Ensure accurate data capturing and recordkeeping.
- Recruitment and Selection Support
- Coordinate recruitment processes such as advertising, shortlisting, and interview logistics.
- Maintain compliance with HR policies and legislative requirements.
- Labour Relations Administration
- Support the handling of disciplinary and grievance procedures.
- Maintain proper filing of labour relations documentation and reports.
- Skills Development and Training
- Assist with planning and tracking of training interventions and development programmes.
- Provide administrative support for workshops, courses, and skills audits.
- Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)
- Ensure compliance with OHS regulations within the department.
- Assist in coordinating health and safety awareness initiatives.
- Individual Performance Management
- Help monitor and record employee performance assessments.
- Facilitate performance review processes in line with City policy.
