2. General Handy Work & Maintenance

You will assist with routine maintenance and general upkeep by:

  • Performing general handy work and routine maintenance tasks within your area of responsibility.
  • Ensuring tasks are completed to the highest quality standards.
  • Maintaining equipment by tightening, cleaning, replacing fittings or parts according to set procedures and guidelines.

3. Planning and Organising Daily Tasks

This role requires someone who can manage time well:

  • Plan and organise daily work tasks effectively.
  • Follow instructions, prioritise tasks, and complete duties efficiently.

4. Cleaning and Hygiene Duties

A major part of the job includes ensuring cleanliness in facilities, such as:

  • Cleaning offices, reception areas, restrooms, kitchens, storerooms, filing rooms, and backyards.
  • Ensuring that workspaces remain neat, hygienic, and presentable.

5. Managing Cleaning Materials

You will be responsible for:

  • Proper use of cleaning materials allocated.
  • Reissuing cleaning materials and ensuring they are used correctly and not wasted.

6. Refreshments and Meeting Support

This job also includes supporting office operations:

  • Serving refreshments to staff during meetings.
  • Preparing venues for meetings (setting up the space properly, ensuring it is clean and ready).

7. Service Delivery and Professional Conduct

As this is a municipal role, you must:

8. Preventing Waste and Managing Resources
