Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Having NQF level 6 qualification will be advantageous.
  • Drivers License with Code B.
  • proficiency with computers (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong interpersonal communication abilities
  • Effective communication abilities

Key Performance Areas:

  • Taking care of the municipal manager’s diary
  • Act as a point of contact for department managers to help maintain an efficient workflow and line of communication.
  • doing regular office tasks in a professional way, such as greeting visitors to the Municipal Manager’s office
  • creating, revising, and sending out agendas, memoranda, letters, minutes of meetings, and event logs
  • ensuring that the municipality’s strategy is the Municipal Manager’s top priority
  • answering the questions of the guests
  • composing letters and invitations for meetings with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Setting up locations for meetings
  • timely preparation of meeting agendas and minutes
  • arranging for the Municipal Manager’s transportation and lodging
