Job Description:
Compliance with SHE standards and operating procedures
- Within your shift, report every event.
- Make sure the workspace is orderly and secure for working in.
Attend and take part in safety meetings, such as toolbox talks and green area meetings. - Take part in monthly inspections with the SHE representative.
- Record events in ISOMETRIX that need to be looked into.
Compliance with Quality standards and operating procedures
- Make sure that every invoice follows the 14-point protocols.
- Make sure any questions about supply chain, suppliers, and financial invoices are answered.
- Verify the accuracy of purchase orders and/or reservations.
Work Processes:
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and systems, and notify your line manager of any problems that are impeding the team’s or your own performance.
- setting up and overseeing the sections’ meeting spaces.
- paper and presentation preparation for the chemistry portion.
- Plan and schedule business travel as well as the related paperwork for chemistry-related domestic and foreign travel.
- to help international T&S members as needed when they come to the Johannesburg office.
- publishing reports on technical issues and customer relations.
- assisting with the on-site chemistry waste collection and management.
- incidents on Isometrix are loading.
- obtaining departmental consumables through the supply chain (the buyer) in compliance with specified protocols.
- single sources are compiled and loaded onto the dashboard.
- management and assistance with supplier onboarding.
- SAP is used for both invoice administration and expense reconciliation.
- drafting of purchase requests and/or bookings for site services and chemistry.
- Handle payments for authorized SAP invoices and handle associated inquiries from suppliers and finance.
- Help site services close out completed job cards.
- Purchase requests are created and submitted by site services using SAP for plant maintenance.
- as the department’s “first point of contact.”
- daily management of the division.
- Ad hoc support as needed.
- Gather minutes from liaison meetings.
- Comply with the supervisor’s directions to complete any other appropriate tasks.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of Grade12 with English as a first or second language.
- proficient with computers (high level of expertise with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Role-specific knowledge:
- advanced familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
- familiarity with the tools for booking trips and spending.
- working familiarity with SAP.
- strong organizational abilities and the capacity to multitask and set priorities.
- exceptional communication skills both in writing and speaking.
- the capacity to exercise initiative and confidentiality.
