A qualified applicant must meet all requirements of the Apprenticeship program, including helping with vehicle repairs under the guidance of a qualified Technician, passing level exams, meeting the trade’s MerSETA requirements, and qualifying in no more than four years.

Position Overview

Taking part in every facet of the Apprenticeship program; helping to fix cars while working under the guidance of a certified Technician; meeting the trade’s MerSETA standards, passing level exams, and being qualified in no more than four years.

Specific Role Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend technical/level training sessions on time.
  • to help with auto repairs so that you can gain real-world experience while being supervised and guided by a technician.
  • In order to qualify within the allotted maximum of four years, thoroughly prepare for the level exams.
  • Help with housekeeping by maintaining a clean and organized workspace and tidy tools and equipment.
  • Observe workplace safety guidelines and appropriate behavior.
  • Fulfill any additional appropriate tasks that may occasionally be needed.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must have  Grade 12. Pure math and physical science should be required courses; a minimum passing grade of 50% in each subject is advantageous.
  • an unendorsed, valid driver’s license

  • Technical aptitude and mechanical knowledge are crucial. Proficiency and prior exposure in this field will be advantageous.
