Job Advert Summary

The successful candidate will report to the Building Foreperson and support the Painter in order to maintain the allocated plant and facilities to Rand Water’s standards for presentation, safety, and dependability with regard to general preparation and painting of plant, buildings, parking areas, road markings, fences, poles, etc.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric or equivalent.
• six months of experience in the field.
• Safety training will be an added advantage.
• Special training in basic painting.

Primary Duties

• Provide painters general assistance.
• Transport equipment and supplies to and from the location of employment.
• furniture and floor preparation. assemble the scaffold. Apply the undercoat and paint in accordance with Rand Water guidelines.
• procure supplies from retailers.
• Applying the final coat of paint to the walls, ceilings, and other surfaces while assisting the painter.
• duties related to general house cleaning, such as cleaning paint rollers and brushes.

Knowledge

• Paint is applied by brushes, rollers, etc.
• Painting tools
• Safety regulations.
