Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 10 or equivalent Qualifications
- Must be a Ward Based Ekurhuleni resident, based in the communities they will serve (Attach Proof of Residence)
Core Responsibilities:
- By going door-to-door in a predetermined ward, visit a predetermined number of homes to conduct surveys and education.
- Disseminate knowledge, instruction, and outreach regarding rodent management and other topics linked to environmental health.
- Leaflets are distributed
- community members’ mobilization for block meetings and education campaigns
- Give a report on feedback and follow up on premises that have been found to be infested.
- Make connections and communicate with Environmental Health Professionals
- Take part in educational programs about rodent management.
- As the direct supervisor, report to the environmental health practitioner.
- Attain the minimum daily goal of thirty (30) properties inspected in accordance with the Rodent Control Ambassador
- Fill out daily attendance forms voluntarily to participate in the program.
- Count the number of locations you visit using the data gathering tool.
- Keep track of how many pamphlets were given out during the visit.
- Keep track of all identified infested locations, as well as any follow-ups and
- Give health speeches, help with block meetings and the monitoring of attendance registers during educational programs.
