Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 10 (NQF level 2);
  • one to two years of relevant experience in customer service and cash handling;
  • Residents of the City of Johannesburg will be given preference, and evidence of residency will be needed upon application;
  • Being employed in a high-pressure public service setting would be an additional benefit.

Primary Function:

In order to effectively and efficiently provide professional Rea Vaya services that surpass client expectations, carry out sales, customer service, stakeholder interactions, and other station-related duties.

Key Performance Areas:

  • To guarantee efficient station operation, carry out the pre-shift station inspection procedure;
  • Complete the stock reconciliation and pre-shift cash float;
  • Follow the relevant policies and standard operating procedures while conducting card sales and trip top-up operations;
  • carry out banking operations pertaining to sales in compliance with relevant regulations and standard operating procedures;
  • carry out procedures and processes pertaining to customer care;
  • Maintain good stakeholder relations and communication while adhering to standard operating procedures and appropriate policies;
  • Keep an eye on and regulate how assets and resources are being used in accordance with appropriate policies and standard operating procedures;
  • Follow the relevant policies and standard operating procedures for performing inventory and financial management and control tasks;
  • Carry out station operations pertaining to reporting and administrative tasks.

  • Better service will result from being able to respond to a question without having to leave the client to verify information;
