What are we looking for?

We are seeking an individual with the following background, credentials, and/or skill set:

  • Valid Code 10 driver’s licence with PDP.
  • Driving a school bus prior to now will be highly recommended.
  • 3 years minimum of experience in a related role.
  • competent in communication and well-groomed.
  • a spotless criminal history.

The responsibilities are:

Learner transportation             

  • operates a school transportation vehicle along one or more designated routes in compliance with timetables.
  • picking up and dropping off children at predetermined locations
  • transports pupils and the instructor on field trips to other areas, arranging the necessary route or routes and making pauses as needed.
  • upholds district policies by keeping student passengers in order and exercising appropriate discipline.

General Worker Duties            

  • General upkeep and assistance with the facilities
  • Get requests for facility maintenance.
  • Every day, inspect the facilities to make sure everything is in good repair.
  • Finish any necessary maintenance or utilities, including the plumbing.
  • Notify the facilities manager of any necessary repairs.
  • Finish up all general upkeep throughout the building.
  • Verify the consumables for maintenance and inform the facilities manager of the needs.
  • Tool storage and upkeep for maintenance.
  • Offer general assistance with access control and security throughout the building.
  • offers broad assistance with traffic control.
  • Garden Upkeep
  • Check the daily work roster for any necessary tasks.
  • upkeep of the flower gardens and grass
  • preserving and tending to the garden throughout the building.
  • Inform the garden’s facilities manager of any requests.
  • Verify the gardening supplies and let the facilities manager know what’s needed.
  • Gardening tool storage and upkeep.

Health and Safety       

  • Every day, do an operational and safety inspection on the designated vehicle.
  • When necessary, reports required mechanical repairs.
  • Buses are fueled with gasoline, diesel, and oil; tires and batteries are checked and filled as needed.
  • conducts regular safety drills in accordance with legal requirements and completes appropriate reports upon request.
  • keeps the car clean to guarantee that it is in safe working order.
  • Attends as many safety, first aid, and training updates meetings as necessary.

Record keeping            

  • completes regular reports on mileage and other information, such as passenger counts.
