REQUIREMENTS :

  • A grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience is not necessary.
  • fundamental understanding of supply chain responsibilities and procedures, as well as the capacity to record information, run a computer, and compile statistics.
  • fundamental familiarity with and comprehension of the laws that regulate the Public Service.
  • fundamental understanding of workplace procedures.

DUTIES :

  • Provide clerical assistance for asset management.
  • Assemble and preserve documents (such as asset records and databases).
  • Examine and distribute furnishings, equipment, and accessories to both individuals and components.
  • Determine which obsolete, superfluous, and non-serviceable equipment has to be disposed of.
  • Check the asset register.
  • Provide clerical support for acquisition and demand.
  • Maintain and update a database of suppliers, including contractors.
  • Suppliers should be registered on LOGIS or a comparable system.
  • Get quotes by requesting them.
  • Utilize the computerized purchasing system to capture specifications.
  • Put in orders.
  • Send out and get bid materials.
  • During the bid evaluation and contract closing process, offer secretariat or logistical support.
  • As needed, assemble the draft paper. Provide logistical assistance.
  • Place product orders.
  • Receive products from suppliers and check them.
  • Record items in the database of registers.
  • Obtain product requests from final consumers.
  • Deliver products to final consumers.
  • Keep the goods registry up to date. Maintain and update the supplier registry.
