Driver Opportunities
A Driver position is open at G4S Cash Solutions (SA), a top supplier of integrated cash management solutions, and will be based in Pretoria. This position will report to the Branch Manager.
Prior to starting work, potential candidates will be asked to provide a valid medical certificate attesting to their suitability to carry and operate a handgun in light of the position they are applying for, which involves doing so, and in accordance with the law.
It is significant to note that the initial interview stage does not require the medical certificate. It will, however, turn into a requirement once an applicant is given serious consideration for the job and is then put through screening and vetting procedures.
The medical certificate submitted shouldn’t be more than three months old at the time of the engagement.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITY:
to guard and handle all valuables when they are being transported between different locations, and to use a vehicle to execute all duties.
Maintain vehicle standards and comply with company equipment and vehicle procedures
- Get all necessary equipment, sign for it, and ensure that it is all in working order.
- Perform a vehicle inspection and finish the checklist
- Responsible and answerable for all vehicle technology and equipment
- upon completion of duty, inspects the vehicle
Drive vehicle responsibly and recording of accident and incidents
- Be a responsible driver and follow all traffic laws.
- All incidences must be reported to the branch and the appropriate authorities.
- Observe the vehicle’s operating manual.
Perform control function of scheduled trips
- Before leaving the branch, conduct routine inspections.
- When the vehicle becomes immobilized or is likely to become immobilized, report to control right away.
- Follow directions to make sure corporate policies are followed and safety steps are taken to protect the crew and the load.
- Do operational security drills, and keep attention and awareness of your surroundings.
- If any suspicious behavior is seen, take precautions.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Requirements
- Matric
- Valid PDP License
- Valid PSIRA Certification
- CIT Certificate
- Possession of a current SAPS firearm for business purposes
- the capacity to perform under pressure and in a dangerous, hurried setting
- aptitude for risk assessment and quick action
