At our head office in Bonaero Park, Safair Operations, often known as FlySafair, has a position open for an Administrator: Lost Property. The Manager of Aviation Security will receive reports from the selected candidate.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gather misplaced items left by travelers at FlySafair stations;
  • Arrange misplaced items based on the duration of the loss;
  • Whenever feasible, get in touch with passengers to coordinate property pickup;
  • Have a conversation with travelers who have reported missing objects;
  • Return found missing items to airports so travelers can pick it up;
  • When necessary, help transport misplaced items to couriers so that passengers can pick them up;
  • Find and follow the owners of misplaced passports and identity documents;
  • assist the call center team and luggage handlers with questions about misplaced property;
  • Record and arrange misplaced objects;
  • keeping track of lost and found things and keeping logs of them.
  • Observe protocols while managing priceless or delicate misplaced things;
  • When necessary, coordinate with other agencies or departments (such as security, aviation, or law enforcement);
  • Maintain an accessible and well-organized lost-and-found area;
  • Assist passengers and enlighten them about lost property policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Matric;
  • competent with Word, Excel, and Outlook in Microsoft Office;
  • strong administrative abilities in the office;
  • be in possession of a current driver’s license;
  • Proficient in both written and spoken communication.
