At our Head Office, Safair Operations, doing business as FlySafair, is hiring a Lost Property Administrator. The manager of the customer care center will receive reports from the chosen candidate.
Job Description
  • Retrieve misplaced items from FlySafair stations;
  • Arrange misplaced items based on the duration of loss;
  • Return lost items that have been identified to airports so that passengers can pick them up;
  • When necessary, help deliver misplaced items to couriers;
  • Determine and locate the owners of misplaced passports and identification documents;
  • Keep thorough notes and logs while classifying and documenting misplaced things;
  • Observe the protocols for managing sensitive or valuable missing objects;
  • Maintain a neat and easily accessible lost and found area;
  • Work along with the appropriate authorities or departments (such as law enforcement, security, and airlines);
  • Report on the lost property procedure once a month;
  • Work with the manager of the customer care center to plan charity drives;
  • Help baggage handlers and the call center team with inquiries about misplaced property; Determine and locate the owners of misplaced passports and identification documents;
  • Help passengers and enlighten them on lost property policies and procedures;
  • When necessary, provide lost property procedures training to employees at additional locations.
Job Requirements
  • Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential);
  • one to three years of experience in a contact center, warehouse, or similar setting (essential);
  • a driver’s license, which is necessary;
  • competent with Word, Outlook, and Excel in Microsoft Office;
  • fundamental knowledge of warehousing concepts.
