Requirements :
- Minimum Grade 10 or equivalent qualifications.
- Relevant experience in the food industry, hygiene and safety.
- Good communication skills and willing to work in a team.
- Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles.
- Must be able to do work of a physical nature.
- Must be willing to work shifts and public holidays.
Duties :
- Perform routine tasks in the Food Service Unit and operate large scale equipment.
- Perform general cleaning tasks to ensure hygiene and safety standards are met and maintained in the Unit.
- Unpacking and packing of provisions into cold rooms and freezer.
- Maintain the cleanliness of cold rooms, freezer and storerooms.
- Preparation, portioning and distribution of normal and therapeutic diets.
- Adhere to set policies and guidelines regulating Food Services.
- Be prepared to rotate within the unit as when the need arise.
