• Grade 10 / AET level 5 to Grade 12 certificate.
• possess an understanding of the OHS Act, patient rights, and Batho Pele principles.
• possess six months of experience working in a medical setting.
• ability to perform shifts in accordance with schedule.

Duties :

• distributing and providing clean linens to the appropriate departments.
• obtaining clean linens from commercial laundries.
• The process of packing clean linen for the shelves and keeping an eye on the minimum and maximum amount of stock available in linen stores.
• gathering, classifying, and counting soiled linen from the wards before sending it to be washed.
• monitoring the linen that was not returned. Sluicing linen that is discolored.
• questions to help with weekly spot checks and stock taking procedures.
• Before and after usage, linen carts should be cleaned.
• Flexibility in reference to shifts (day and night).
• Make that the OHS Act, the Batho Pele Principles, the Ideal Hospital Framework and Realization, and the patient’s rights are respected.
• helps with the handling of patient safety incidents and complaints.
• carry out any additional tasks assigned to you.
