Requirements :

  • Matric / Grade 12 with relevant tertiary qualification.
  • two to three years of experience working in a fleet.

Duties :

  • State vehicle issuance: Trip authority is duly signed by the appropriate parties.
  • Verify that the vehicle is issued in accordance with all applicable road traffic laws and that a vehicle condition report detailing the vehicle’s state at the time of issuance has been completed.
  • The right car is provided for the application.
  • The code on the official’s driver’s license matches the vehicle class that was issued.
  • Each driver has a unique driver tag.
  • Perform pre- and post-inspection: Check the car to see if it is roadworthy before handing it over to the official.
  • List every thing, including tools, a spare wheel, an e-tag, a license disc, etc., and make sure to do the same when the car is brought back.
  • Every item that was given out along with the car gets returned.
  • that once the car is returned, a condition report is completed.
  • Upon completion of the trip, all fuel purchase receipts and toll slips are turned in with the logbook.
  • Vehicle maintenance: All vehicles are scheduled for maintenance at the intervals recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Downtime of vehicles is tracked and reported to management and the appropriate service provider.
  • delivery of cars to retailers for upkeep and repairs at the service provider’s recommendation.
  • Make sure the vehicles’ service books are stamped to prove they were maintained.

  • Maintain an up-to-date record of every vehicle that has had maintenance, new tires, a battery replacement, etc.
  • Vehicle management: Fuel purchase slips are checked against system data and logbook entries.
