General Labourer

There is a general laborer position open at Safair Operations, often known as FlySafair, in our head office in Bonaero Park. The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will receive reports from the selected applicant.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• carry out routine maintenance duties as instructed by the manager or supervisor, such as general cleaning, painting, carpentry, plumbing, etc.
• maintaining upkeep and handling repairs and cleaning;
• tidy and well-organized, including tidying the skips and the waste area;
• Identify and report any maintenance needs that arise;
• Keep the common areas and outside areas, like the garden, parking lots, and sidewalks, clean; apply pesticide and generally control weeds;
• As instructed by the manager or supervisor, carry out any further maintenance, repair, installation, and construction-related tasks.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12
• strong proficiency in plumbing;
• the capacity to use power tools and hardware;
• strong comprehension of maintenance tasks;
• focused on the details and gifted at solving problems;
• Prior expertise with construction or maintenance would be beneficial.
• must possess a driver’s license that is currently valid;
• emphasis on quality;
