Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 8 or Abet level 1 qualification.
• Six to twelve months of relevant experience
• Must be mentally and physically fit.
• No prior convictions
Required Documentations:
• A completed electronic job application.
• A certified current South African identity card or document.
• Evidence of residency.
Key Performance Areas: Weed removal, litter picking, street sweeping, removing stickers and pamphlets from street furniture, poles, and road signs, cleaning informal settlements, and working with clean-up programs in conjunction with the City Departments and Entities are all duties that are included in the employment. The key performance categories indicated above are not the only ones that the profession requires.
Leading Competencies:
• Ability to communicate in local languages appropriate to the wards;
• Team player and follower of directions;
• Reading and writing skills;
Core Competencies:
• Possess the necessary trade tools for the job (broom, litter picker, spade, rakes, scraper, etc.). Training will be given when specialized trade tolls are necessary.
