After completing the course, the student will be qualified to show that they understand and are proficient in:
Operation of the following processes:
- Filling and date coding
- Sealing
- Packing and Unpacking
- Labelling
- First line maintenance
- Apply problem-solving strategies and tactics to solve problems.
- putting health and safety laws into practice
- Quality assurance for each of the aforementioned procedures
- Asset administration
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
- Matriculation, Grade 12, or equivalent N credentials are the minimal requirements.
- Applicants having a postsecondary degree in electrical or mechanical engineering will be given preference.
- technical aptitude and orientation.
- Demonstrate a great capacity for initiative, action, and concentration on mechanical or technical tasks.
- demonstrated ability to communicate both written and verbally.
- awareness of safe labor practices.
- the capacity to function under duress.
Additional requirements
- Candidates on the short list will go through a formal evaluation.
- As needed, candidates may be asked to work shifts or longer hours.
