The Lynnwood, Pretoria-based Intercare Glanfair Medical and Dental Centre is hiring a receptionist. The primary responsibility of this role is to facilitate the patient administration procedure while delivering expert customer service.
Receptionists at Intercare foster an atmosphere and culture that help us achieve our mission of improving people’s lives. We’re now looking for someone that is eager to take on this challenge and accomplish this function. In addition to performing administrative and financial duties, a receptionist should deliver excellent customer service that is in line with the overarching business plan. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- As part of patient care, offer professional, courteous, and effective telephone support.
- Help patients correctly fill out the necessary paperwork, and make sure that all information is recorded in compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- In charge of all procedures pertaining to the patient-reception process, such as patient booking, arrival, and payment on the appropriate system.
- Point every client in the direction of the right place, services, and professionals.
- As per POPIA, maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Make sure the front desk is always organized and spotless.
- As per protocol, forward all emergency cases to the nurse’s station.
- Help patients with simple account inquiries and raise the issue if needed.
- Gather all account balances and co-payments in accordance with Intercare’s policies and procedures.
- Follow and carry out the banking and cash-up procedures every day.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum qualification: Grade 12.
- Prior experience working in a customer-focused service setting, such reception, will be helpful.
- competent with computers.
- Having expertise with GoodX systems will be helpful.
