PURPOSE

In order to ensure that employees and third-party businesses receive accurate and timely monthly payments, the SAP HR/PY system is administered and maintained by answering payroll-related questions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enter daily and monthly employee data, such as overtime, standby, Sunday bonuses, all allowances, absenteeism, etc., into the SAP HR/PY system for three payrolls.
  • Enter information about new hires (new entries) into the SAP HR/PY system for three payrolls.
  • Process terminations of employees due to retirements, deaths, resignations, dismissals, and contract expirations on three payrolls using the SAP HR/PY system.
  • Handle daily and monthly input for three payrolls pertaining to third-party loans, medical assistance, pension funds, and garnishee orders.
  • Handle any modifications to employee master data, such as addresses and banking information, on the SAP HR/PY system for three payrolls.
  • For insourced employees paid through the City of Johannesburg payroll, process and keep separate payroll data on the SAP HR/PY system.
  • Handle payroll payment recalls and rejections, including housing bonds, salary, and other payments.
  • Speak with different medical assistance providers and financial entities.
  • Provide employment verification and information on employment in relation to reference checks that financial institutions perform on workers.
  • Determine the sums owed in each termination event and submit an application for SARS office tax directions. Handle specific EFT payment paperwork.
  • Make sure that all input paperwork is filed accurately.
  • Both new hires and existing employees should use the HR/PY system, and it should be properly filed electronically.
  • Respect laws, company regulations, and procedures.
  • Respond to phone inquiries from employees, line management, and outside businesses.
  • Respond to in-person inquiries from employees and third-party businesses.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Matric (NQF 4) with Mathematics
  • Two years of expertise with third-party payroll payments and SAP payroll administration
  • MS Office package
