Job Description

Kia Pinetown is looking to add a committed Service Advisor to our group. The chosen applicant will offer consumers advising services, making sure that all non-technical service tasks are completed accurately, quickly, and in compliance with standard operating standards.

 

Specific Role Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients and manage scheduling and service tasks. act as the point of contact for servicing clients and the dealership.
  • Encourage the sale of components and labor.
  • Keep a record of service appointments.
  • Once the dealership’s payment policy has been explained to the consumer, get their consent and signature.
  • When repair orders need to be extended, get in touch with consumers to get their permission, including updated pricing estimates and delivery schedules.
  • Keep track of all communications with customers, further instructions, and repair order rejections.
  • Monitor the status of repairs to make sure they are completed on schedule and in accordance with instructions.
  • Retain customer records, contact clients who have not replied to correspondence, and verify satisfaction by contacting clients who have had significant repairs done.
  • Respond quickly to consumer complaints.
  • When providing invoices, describe the labor done and the parts that were replaced.
  • Share information with the service manager regarding shop performance, appointment trends, and customer attitudes.
  • Inform the sales department if a customer wants to sell or trade.
  • If required, conduct test drives after repairs.
  • Participate in the Service Advisor training classes offered by the distributor.
  • Keep your appearance tidy when meeting customers.
  • Gain communication skills to strengthen your relationships with customers.
  • Respect warranty guidelines.
  • Keep track on outstanding cash and work-in-progress.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of a Matric certificate.
  • 3-5 years of work experience in the motor industry in a service advisor capacity with technical knowledge.
  • A background with the Kia brand would be an added advantage.
