Introduction
At the Life P.E Laundry, there is a position open for a laundry assistant.The chosen applicant will be in charge of managing linen delivery, washing, folding, ironing, and handling for Life Healthcare Hospitals in the Port Elizabeth area.

- upholding safety and health standards.
- management of waste disposal.
- folding, ironing, drying, and washing linen.
- The procurement, allocation, and precise documentation of linens to every unit inside the establishment.
- Dusting, wiping, and cleaning in the laundry.
- Equipment for laundry is cleaned.
- Maintain the linen levels in accordance with the needs.
- Maintain quality control on the linen that is given and received.
- As needed, a linen stock take will be conducted.
- It must be tidy and spotless in the linen storage area.
- Make sure that the OSH Act, any pertinent laws, and the LHC Laundry policy guidelines are followed.
Requirements
- Grade 12/ matric certificate necessary.
- Experience doing laundry before will be beneficial.
- able to perform manual labor.
- It’s essential to have strong interpersonal skills.
- You will always need to work in a team, thus you must be a team player.
- It will be beneficial to have experience with a hospital setting.
- able to work weekends and shifts as needed.
