The Matjhabeng Municipality is seeking young people with the necessary qualifications from a variety of areas to enroll in Road Traffic and Law Enforcement (NQF Level 4) training programs. This is a component of the Municipality’s commitment to tackling the high rates of youth unemployment and offering the required chances for skill development. The Municipality extends an invitation to unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 35 who meet the necessary minimum requirements for a learnership in road traffic law enforcement and who are appropriately qualified. The training will take place over the course of a year and be given by Matjhabeng Traffic Training Academy.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Individuals in South Africa who hold the National Senior Certificate or Grade 12
- a legitimate driver’s license
- outcomes of the SAPS Clearance with no criminal history
- evidence of a medical examination
- Candidates must be residents of Matjhabeng Local Municipality for the duration of their residency.
Candidates will:
- be necessary to successfully complete an interview and a written test.
- need to successfully complete a physical evaluation
- be obliged to disclose the findings of their SAPS Clearance. Any more criminal clearances won’t be accepted.
- be obliged to maintain fitness levels and submit to regular fitness evaluations
- The Matjhabeng Traffic Training code of conduct, the pass requirements set forth by the Academy, and the applicable unit standards shall all apply to candidates.
Special conditions attached to the post:
- Candidates must complete rigorous physical training at the Academy and training in compliance with the Firearms and Ammunitions Act; the Municipality is not compelled to grant a permanent position upon completion of the training.
- The chosen applicants will have to work shifts, wear a uniform, and tolerate inclement weather.
- The only applicants who will be accepted are those who live in Matjhabeng. Prior to each appointment, a home address verification and proof of residence will be made.
