Introduction

There is a position available at Life St. Georges Hospital for a Housekeeping Assistant/General Worker, who will be accountable to the Service Manager. The chosen applicants will be in charge of maintaining the best possible housekeeping standards in the laundry facility.

Critical Outputs

    To provide satisfactory experience by: 

  • maintaining orderliness in all areas and facilities.
  • providing frequent servicing to all locations.
  • following the guidelines for infection control.
  • preserving a professional rapport with management and coworkers.

    To provide quality housekeeping services by: 

  • participating in training as needed.
  • Follow all cleaning guidelines and instructions.
  • applying the appropriate cleaning techniques to various regions.
  • ensuring that enough supplies are available for all facilities.
  • working in shifts as required.
  • helping with any general tasks that need to be done in the laundry room.

Requirements

  • Matric Certificate (Grade 12) .
  • prior experience in housekeeping.
  • strong sense of customer service, enthusiastic, and cooperative.
  • arranged with efficiency.
  • able to function well under duress.
  • Needs to be in good physical shape.
  • able to work different shifts as needed.
