MAN Johannesburg Truck & Bus is hiring a Debtors Clerk right now.

An experienced individual with the capacity to guarantee accurate bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and the collection of unpaid dealership funds will be ideal for this role.

The applicant must be extremely well-organized and detail-oriented. Math and numerical skills are also helpful. The applicant must to be knowledgeable with bookkeeping and accounting in general. Another crucial ability that is necessary is accuracy in data input and accounting calculations.

Specific Role Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of a Debtors Clerk include the following tasks:

• In charge of overseeing all debtor functions within the dealership, including but not restricted to:
• Help open new accounts and make sure all debtors’ references are valid.
• Make timely and correct updates to all reconciliations.
• Inform the appropriate departmental supervisors (such as F&I) of any account issues.
• Accurately track changes in daily/monthly age analysis and outstanding funds.
• Verify the accuracy of all the data on each customer’s account.
• Assemble and distribute debtor statements.
• Make sure that all deposits are appropriately credited to the appropriate accounts and match up with statements and invoices.
• Make sure to follow up on all unpaid debts.
• Build a suitable relationship with each debtor.

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12
• strong proficiency with Excel
• Having a finance degree is beneficial.
• Prior experience as a debtor’s clerk in the commercial vehicle sector is beneficial.
