Purpose of the Job

To maintain the smooth running of in-store retail operations, Medirite Plus Olivedale is presently seeking a Pharmacy Sales Assistant who is customer-focused, diligent, and flexible. The ideal applicant would love dealing with customers and has exceptional customer service abilities. The duties of the Pharmacy Sales Assistant include greeting clients, setting up visual displays, handling client refunds, and determining the needs of the clientele in order to recommend goods that best suit those needs.

Job Objectives

processing payments and keeping track of sales and receipts in accordance with corporate policy.
Keep your product knowledge current and stay informed about upcoming releases.
replenishing inventory and setting up the sales area in accordance with SOPs.

carrying out price audits on a regular basis to find and fix pricing disparities.
use the Point of Sale (POS) technology at the stores to process payments from customers.
keeping up with product updates to provide guidance and suggestions.

Keep abreast on all promos and exclusive deals.
Uphold the norms of visual merchandising.
Maintain appropriate housekeeping.

Respond quickly to any consumer inquiries and, if needed, refer them to upper management.

Qualifications

Matric qualification

Experience

at least five months’ worth of experience working as a till point or point of sale in a retail setting.

a track record of success in retail sales, with previous experience both in sales and behind the cash register.

Knowledge and Skills

good comprehension of customer service concepts.
knowledgeable about merchandising standards and the process for getting product.

knowledgeable in computers.
Proficiency in both Afrikaans and English is preferred.
charming and amiable disposition.

aware of the different ways to make payments, such as using cash, checks, bank cards, credit cards, coupons, and vouchers.
the capacity to function in a hectic setting.
strong attention to detail and organizing abilities.
