REQUIREMENTS
- Basic Literacy or Grade 10.
- Grade 12 (added advantage).
- A valid driver’s license is an extra benefit.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities (must be multilingual).
- the capacity to comprehend and carry out instructions.
- sound physical health, fundamental abilities, and experience performing manual labor.
- a diligent, disciplined individual.
- Candidates must be residents of the Midvaal Local Municipality.
- one year of relevant experience in general waste management-related work for a municipality.
DUTIES
- Manage the trash and carry out any other general labor related to running a waste disposal facility.
- general maintenance of transfer stations and landfills.
- helping out at the recycle center as required.
- Help spotters with traffic control and direction at transfer stations and landfills.
- Refuse to leave homes and commercial spaces.
- street, sidewalk, taxi, and bus rank sweeps.
- picking up trash from public open spaces, major roads, and streets.
- Clean up the public trash cans and streets.
- cleaning of open areas, bus and taxi ranks, and public streets.
- cleaning of public spaces and buildings.
- Execute any other relevant ad hoc activities and responsibilities assigned by the manager or supervisor within the waste management area.
