Salary: R 173 856,00 – R 188 604,00 p.a. (Level 11 of a Grade 8 Local Authority) Total package inclusive of all benefits: R303,682.64 p.a.
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 10.
- Matric added advantage.
- A driver’s license is an extra benefit.
- The possession of a Pump Operator Certificate will be beneficial.
- proficiency with a variety of hand tools and other tools used in manual labor.
- Reading and interpreting gauge and valve readings is a requirement for candidates.
- a physically fit, disciplined, and industrious individual.
- A minimum of one to two years of relevant experience in a municipal wastewater treatment plant.
DUTIES
- Contribute to the pump station’s smooth operation by:
- evaluating valve and gauge data.
- Equipment and material loading and unloading, and sieve cleaning.
- utilizing a variety of hand tools and other manual labor equipment to carry out physical labor tasks and execute work instructions.
- Cleaning in the assigned area and surrounding it.
- As needed, standby and overtime work are necessary.
- Worker shift.
- Keep the supervisor informed about the pump station’s activities, and report any abnormalities right away.
- Execute any other related Ad Hoc activities and responsibilities as needed or requested from time to time by management (supervisor).
