Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison | 1200 CRIME PREVENTION WARDENS (90 Police Stations)

Stipend: In line with Public Employment Programmes (PEPs).

The Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison hereby invites application for Crime Prevention Wardens, for a period of Twenty Four (24) months, renewable contract. Age between 18 – 50 years.

Requirements:

  • A Grade 10 — 12 report/certificate.
  • They have to be in good physical shape.
  • Proficiency in English and other designated languages for communication.
  • to get a police clearance (a standard criminal history check).
  • An additional benefit will be involvement in structures or activities related to crime and experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • monitoring crime in high-crime zones.
  • Engage in search and seizure operations in schools with the support of SAPS personnel.
  • Participate in stop and search procedures.
  • Keep an eye out for any strange or criminal activity going on in the neighborhood.
  • Get rid of all the components of crime in the communities, such as vandalism and lawlessness.

NB: The CPW’s will be working under the supervision of South African Police Service (SAPS)

  • It is not recommended for employed individuals to apply as this program is only for jobless individuals.
  • Those that are appointed must labor in any other circumstance.
