REQUIREMENTS :
- Matric (Grade 12) or NQF Level 4 qualification.
- Proficiency in computer use.
- Understanding of clerical responsibilities and familiarity with the legal framework regulating public service.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong communication abilities (both written and verbal).
- Effective interpersonal skills,
- customer service orientation,
- problem-solving capabilities,
- and attention to detail.
- All shortlisted candidates will participate in a pre-entry practical exercise as part of the evaluation process to assess their suitability for the role based on its technical and general requirements.
DUTIES :
- Offer administrative support services.
- Input and update data from existing records into specified formats, such as databases, tables, and spreadsheets.
- Check and assess data for quality, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Create spreadsheets, maintain routine statistical updates, reports, and registers.
- Receive, log, and monitor records or documents submitted for further handling.
- Record routine transactions on computer systems, including transferring data from physical to digital formats.
- Regularly update computer records for reporting and information retrieval purposes.
- Perform consistent data backups.
- Ensure proper organization and security of records and files.
- Supply information to the relevant department or unit.
