Main job purpose
Trucks should be loaded and unloaded onto a level surface or as close to it as possible. Loads should be secured in accordance with loading and unloading procedures, and during trips, double check that glass is always securely fastened and loaded. This will help the driver load and unload glass and maneuver the vehicle in the safest manner possible for customer delivery.
Main Objective
- Look for the best location for the vehicle to be loaded and unloaded.
- Fill out the quality check sheet as you load
- Make sure you load and unload safely.
- Help the driver and report any property damage.
- Make sure the load is confined once more before driving away from a customer.
- Help the driver maneuver the truck in tight spots or regions that are hidden from view.
- Help with paperwork control when you can
- Observe all work instructions, SOPs, and corporate regulations.
- Respect safety, environmental, and housekeeping regulations
- Please do whatever more work the plant supervisor asks of you, to the best of your abilities.
- able to work weekends and overtime when necessary
Critical job requirements
Qualification(s)
- Grade 12
- Code 10 or higher driver’s license with PrDP will be an advantage.
