Requirements :
- A minimum of Grade 10 or an Abet level 04 or higher, or a comparable qualification
- familiarity with Portering services,
- Having experience in a mortuary will be beneficial.
- the capacity to converse in multiple official languages,
- enthusiasm for one’s work,
- understanding of customer service,
- self-motivated and eager to collaborate with others,
- readiness to work different shifts.
Duties :
- Patients should be escorted or accompanied from reception to different departments, wards to sections, and cars.
- Patients are loaded and unloaded.
- Help nursing personnel move patients from beds to trolleys and the other way around.
- Show consideration, courtesy, kindness, and courtliness toward all patients, family members, the general public, coworkers, shift leaders, and superiors.
- Carry the bodies, paperwork, and the entire mortuary record to the mortuary.
- daily labor tasks entered into Porter’s control sheet.
- carry out additional tasks as assigned by the manager.
