Job Advert Summary
The chosen applicant will become a member of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) team and work in a labor-intensive setting to maintain and develop landscapes and facilities using a variety of horticultural machinery, tools, and equipment as directed.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10 or 12, with a minimum of six months of applicable gardening or nursery experience.
- the capacity to use equipment for horticulture, including lawnmowers, brush cutters, and clearing saws.
- Proficiency in fundamental safety understanding and task execution.
Primary Duties
- mowing the lawn and maintaining the grounds.
- cleaning, raking, pulling weeds, and hydrating plants.
- application of pesticides, compost, and fertilizers in accordance with instructions.
- Debris removal and loading, etc.
- application and operation of specialized equipment, such as brush cutters, lawnmowers, and hand handled blowers.
- When needed, provide assistance with building and decoration.
Knowledge
- the capacity to use garden tools, push-type lawn mowers, brush cutters, etc.
- fundamental understanding of plants
Skills
- horticultural abilities.
