REQUIREMENTS :
- A Grade 12 certificate is required for applicants.
- No previous experience necessary.
- Job related knowledge: Understanding of registry responsibilities and procedures, as well as the ability to input data and use a computer.
- knowledge and comprehension of the legal framework that governs the Public Service.
- understanding of storage and retrieval practices in the context of the workplace.
- comprehension of registry work.
- Job related skills: Computer literacy, language proficiency, organization and planning abilities, and communication abilities (verbal and written).

DUTIES :
- the services of registry counters.
- tend to customers.
- Respond to incoming phone calls and other inquiries.
- Obtain and record any mail or files that are delivered by hand.
- Take care of incoming and outgoing mail.
- All mail is received, sorted, registered, and sent out.
- Send out notices about registry-related concerns.
- Provide efficient filing and record-keeping services.
- establishing and closing files in accordance with the record classification scheme.
- Document and file storage, tracing (manually or electronically), and retrieval.
- All files’ index cards are complete.
- Use office equipment in accordance with the registry function.
- Franking machine register should be kept open.
- Every day, Frank posts, records money, and updates the register.
- Check individual postings to make sure no private ones are present.
- For delivery to the Post Office by messengers, secure mail in a postbag.
- Keep a remittance register open.
- As directed, list each valuable item in the remittance record.
- Remittances are handed over by hand and signed over to finance.
- Send incorrect payments back to the sender by registered mail while noting the reference number in the register.
- Keep track of how many letters are stamped each day.
- Prepare documents for destruction or archiving.
- files are scanned electronically.
- Sorting and packaging files for dissemination and archiving.
- Make a list of the papers that need to be archived and give it to the manager.
- Archived documents should be documented.
