Job Purpose:

The Administrative Officer: Training Norms and Standards Support is responsible for keeping all administration up to date and providing administrative support to the Team Leader: Training Norms and Standards Support and to the entire Training Norms and Standards.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • handling, examining, rerouting, and responding to every incoming mail and email by proactive measures and judgment calls.
  • As directed by the general manager, compile data and statistics and create reports.
  • As needed, maintain and oversee all administrations connected to the Standards Support Unit, Training Norms, and Administration.
  • When necessary, set up and oversee all staff meetings and events while adhering to all established guidelines.
  • Plan the Training Norms and Standards Unit’s events and meetings.
  • Make sure that all travel plans adhere to the established guidelines.
  • Create and preserve wholesome, long-lasting, and mutually beneficial relationships with all stakeholders and service providers.
  • Keep abreast of pertinent industry developments and apply knowledge to your work to create value.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Level 4 Matric NQF as a prerequisite
  • SAQA-recognized NQF Level 6 Diploma as a minimum
  • It is necessary to have one (1) to two (2) years of administrative experience.

KEY ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES:

  • familiarity with administrative procedures and frameworks
  • familiarity with filing systems
  • understanding of the industry in which one works
  • knowledge of the fundamental ideas and uses of computer literacy
