Camp Driver Services are needed at Shimuwini Bushveld Camp by SANParks. The job is for a fixed-term, two-month period.
This role will report directly to the Hospitality Service Manager and be headquartered in Shimuwini, in the Nxanatseni Region, within Kruger National Park.
Requirements
- Grade 12.
- Driver’s license with a current Professional
- Permit to Drive (PDP).
- three years or more of driving experience required.
- capable of reading and writing in English.
- knowledge of environmental issues and conservation.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- the capacity to function under duress.
Responsibilities
- to operate the camper and fill out the trip form every day.
- to move personnel from the park to medical facilities, as well as equipment, goods, and passengers.
- must assume liability for the items from the time of loading until delivery.
- to gather and distribute the linens for the camp.
- to support the camp’s general operations when driving is not required.
- Report any defaults or accidents and perform daily checks of the car in accordance with the guidelines provided on an inspection sheet.
- to finish the monthly log sheet for vehicles.
Please Note
- The chosen applicants will have to cover the cost of their own lodging outside of the park.
- Candidates with overseas qualifications must submit the South African Qualification Authority’s evaluated findings.
