There are presently two openings for room attendants at Storms River Mouth Rest Camp and Tsitsikamma Section of Garden Route National Park. The chosen applicant will work under the housekeeper and must possess the required training and experience. They must also be a highly driven individual.

Requirements

Grade 12 Certificate (Std. 10)
Any tertiary education in room attendant (NQF 5) will be advantageous.
Certificate of Occupational Health and Safety

two years of housekeeping experience.
Six days, forty-five hours a week, including overtime and work on weekends and public holidays, are necessary.
Effective communication abilities to engage with visitors.

The ideal applicant would have received training on pertinent safety regulations.
A quick course or appropriate instruction in housekeeping will be beneficial.

Responsibilities

Fulfill daily cleaning responsibilities in the administrative block, lodging, restrooms, reception area, and public spaces while adhering to the established standards of hygiene.

cleaning of all offices and facilities related to tourism.
Notify others of any problems or maintenance needs, and make sure they are fixed.
Sustain a high standard of cleanliness.

Respecting the Standards for Occupational Health and Safety.
Help with additional ad hoc work as needed by the manager or supervisor.
management of inventory goods.

reporting anomalies, such as equipment malfunctions and maintenance issues.
Help with the distribution of laundry.
help with the rest camp’s general duties.

Please Note

The compensation package consists of a base pay determined by applying the Paterson A3 job grade salary scale to the position, as well as benefits and allowances listed in the SANParks Conditions of Services and HR Tariff Document.
The chosen applicant will have to remain outside of the Park and pay for their own transportation to and from work.
The appointment will follow the objectives of the EE plan.
