WORK INTEGRATED LEARNING (WIL) PROGRAMME
Currently, Johannesburg Pikitup (SOC) Limited is building a database for students who require WIL in order to finish their coursework. This is also an attempt to meet the increasing demand from postsecondary educational institutions for students to gain experience in the workplace, either as a prerequisite for earning a degree or as a requirement for obtaining experiential training following graduation.
For applicants to be considered for placement on the database the following criteria must be met:
- Must be a young person living in Johannesburg and not older than 35.
- Must not have previously taken part in any comparable program(s)
- possess South African citizenship.
- The applicant needs to be jobless.
The program will run no longer than eighteen months, and students will be contacted for interviews whenever the business requires them.
The Work Integrated Learning Programme will be offered in the following categories:
- Finance
- Supply Chain Management
- Audit and Risk
- Waste Management
- Landfill
- Occupational Health and Safety
- Communications and Marketing
- Human Resources
- Customer Services
- Business Planning and Reporting
- Legal and Compliance
