Brief Description
- This position’s primary goal is to support the School’s research-related activities administratively.
- This includes accurately documenting the results of the school’s study in order to report for DHET subsidies;
- monitoring the School’s active research staff;
- supporting the school’s application procedure for ethics;
- communicating with the central research office and the faculty research office regarding any potential research questions,
- give academic administrators administrative support, especially with regard to postgraduate research and mark entry, but not exclusively with regard to
- help in rerouting inquiries to the proper school personnel.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours) required include:
- familiarity with the Ulwazi/LMS system, ROCS, SIMS, and AMS.
- familiarity with analytical tools such as Google Scholar and Scopus.
- familiarity with the DHET research outputs policy the ability to create reports using Microsoft Office software. Be mindful of the details.
- The capacity to effectively interact via email, phone, and in person.
- understanding of the application processes for ethics.
- an electronic reference manager’s usability.
Overall management and coordination of Front- desk/Reception area Requirements:
- Matric and Desirable Diploma and
- a minimum of one year of experience in the field,
- The university setting will be beneficial.
