Main job purpose
Trucks should be loaded and unloaded onto a level surface or as close to one as possible, loads should be secured in accordance with loading and offloading procedure, and double check during trips that glass is always properly tied and loaded in a safe manner. These actions will assist the driver in loading and unloading glass and maneuvering the vehicle in the safest manner possible for delivery to customers.
Main Objective
- Look for the best location to load and unload the vehicle.
- while loading, complete the quality check sheet.
- Be careful when loading and unloading.
- Get the driver out and report any property damage you see.
- Make sure the load is restrained once more before departing a customer.
- Help the driver when backing up or maneuvering the truck in small spaces or places where it is difficult to see.
- Help where you can with the management of papers
- Observe all company policies, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
- Observe environmental, safety, and etiquette guidelines
- To the best of your ability, carry out any additional responsibilities outlined by the factory manager.
- willing to put in extra time and work on weekends as needed
Critical job requirements
Qualification(s)
- Matric
- A valid driver’s license with a code of 10 or above and PrDP will be advantageous.
