Requirements:
- A National Certificate (Vocational), National Senior Certificate, Senior Certificate, or a comparable qualification at Level 4 of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).
Required Skills:
- Strong communication abilities (both written and spoken).
- Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet usage).
- Understanding of fundamental office management principles and procedures.
- Capability to plan and coordinate research projects, seminars, and workshops.
- Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Possessing a driver’s license would be beneficial.
Additional Advantages:
- At least two years of administrative experience, with a preference for experience in an educational setting, would be an advantage.
Main Duties:
- Offer administrative support to the Qualifications, Curriculum, and Certification Unit.
- Communicate with external clients and stakeholders through phone calls, in-person meetings, and emails.
- Handle logistical preparations for committee meetings, launches, workshops, and seminars.
- Record minutes and prepare simple correspondence.
- Perform general administrative tasks as needed.
- Support switchboard operations when necessary.
