Requirements:

  • A National Certificate (Vocational), National Senior Certificate, Senior Certificate, or a comparable qualification at Level 4 of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).

Required Skills:

  • Strong communication abilities (both written and spoken).
  • Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet usage).
  • Understanding of fundamental office management principles and procedures.
  • Capability to plan and coordinate research projects, seminars, and workshops.
  • Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Possessing a driver’s license would be beneficial.

Additional Advantages:

  • At least two years of administrative experience, with a preference for experience in an educational setting, would be an advantage.

Main Duties:

  • Offer administrative support to the Qualifications, Curriculum, and Certification Unit.
  • Communicate with external clients and stakeholders through phone calls, in-person meetings, and emails.
  • Handle logistical preparations for committee meetings, launches, workshops, and seminars.
  • Record minutes and prepare simple correspondence.
  • Perform general administrative tasks as needed.
  • Support switchboard operations when necessary.
