Job Description

An accredited competency-based modular training (CBMT) apprenticeship, which combines relevant classroom instruction with on-the-job training (OJT) under the supervision of a qualified motor vehicle mechanic, is available from Lindsay Saker Kempton Park to qualified candidates. The Imperial Technical Training Academy (ITTA), located in Ext 4, 16 Dakota Cres, Airport Park, Johannesburg, 1401, offers theoretical instruction in a classroom setting.

Specific Role Responsibilities

CBMT contract with merSETA and a learnership contract with Lindsay Saker Kempton Park will apply with all terms and conditions. MIBCO minimum wages apply for CBMT Apprentice

Training program

  • Levels 1 – 4: 4 years. contract
  • 5 days in 5 weeks training at ITTA.
  • The CDX distance learning program improves apprentice training by exposing students to interactive tutorials, demonstrations, quizzes, and practical exercises that are offered online while they study at home or at their place of employment.
  • computer-based evaluation and testing.

  • Work experience in the VW Service department is in line with the degree of proficiency attained in the CBMT program. Acquire proof to finish your ITTA-mandated evidence portfolio. o Gaining experience in performing high-quality maintenance and repairs in accordance with the original manufacturer’s specifications while assisting a designated technician. Compile a complete proof portfolio. o Examine, maintain, and fix cars while receiving training from a certified technician.

Qualifications and Experience

The applicant must have achieved the following qualifications to be considered:

  • Matric (N2, 50% required) in English, Engineering Science, and Mathematics
  • A driver’s license
  • Proficiency with computers
  • The candidate must pass a mechanical insight test in order to be considered.
  • The candidate shall undergo the customary background investigations prior to being evaluated for the subsequent phase. To determine whether the applicant is suitable for employment, a medical evaluation will be conducted.
  • Successful applicants will proceed to a face-to-face interview and psychometric evaluation.
