Position Purpose
To arrange and clear wagons and locomotives; gather, receive, and dispatch trains; and transmit information in order to securely deliver wagons and trains to their intended destinations in compliance with a set of rules

In charge of overseeing and controlling the practices related to safety, health, the environment, and quality in the sidings and marshalling yards under his or her supervision in order to ensure compliance with legal requirements and established company safety standards. Shunting diesel locomotives (23E class, 18E class, 7E, 19E, wagons, and coaches)
- Operating Whiting.
- Changing of points.
- Operating Travesor.
- Coupling of the loads.
- Operating Hunslet.
- Coupling of air/ vacuum brakes
- Operating zepher.
- Coupling of safety links.
- Operating Dezy Hauler.
Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 10
- Yard Official Certificate.
- Two years of official Yard official experience.
