Three (3) General Worker positions are available at Agulhas National Park on a fixed-term contract ending March 2028. Successful candidates must be highly motivated, skilled, and experienced, reporting to the Duty Manager. No official accommodation is provided, so candidates must arrange their own.
Minimum Requirements
-Grade 12 (Matric) or NCV Level 4 certificate.
-Experience in housekeeping, maintenance, or similar roles is a plus.
-Basic skills in general maintenance and storeroom management.
-Keen attention to detail with high cleanliness and maintenance standards.
-Physically capable of tasks like lifting, bending, and prolonged standing.
-Self-driven, with strong time management, responsibility, and discipline.
-Basic understanding of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
-First Aid knowledge is advantageous.
-Willingness to work weekends and public holidays.
-Valid driver’s license is a plus.
Responsibilities
-Conduct general cleaning, including waste removal, and upkeep of fireplaces, braais, offices, ablutions, accommodations, and surrounding areas.
-Support minor maintenance tasks for buildings, roads, water systems, and infrastructure.
-Maintain grounds and gardens, including mowing and landscaping.
-Log and report maintenance issues in the maintenance logbook.
-Clean and maintain vehicles, machinery, tools, and equipment.
-Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
-Comply with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) practices at all times.
